Win QANTAS flights ANYWHERE

The spirit of Australia has been in the news a lot for it's poor financial performance. There are certain rules about % of share ownership, etc. All business aside, it's all about travel.

Qantas has just changed the look of their uniforms. To celebrate, they are giving away 3 prizes. Each prize gives you the choice of a Domestic or International destination and $2500 spending money.

Where would you go on the Qantas network?
- Visit a friend for their wedding in Australia?
- Hop to New York for the fantastic broadway shows?
- Go on a safari in South Africa?
- Say I do in Paris?
- Have yumcha in Hong Kong?
- Have high tea in London?

Prize details:
(a) two return Qantas Economy class tickets from each winner’s
closest Qantas-serviced capital city airport in Australia to any destination on the
Qantas Domestic or International network (flight associated taxes, fees and carrier charges are included), flying on Qantas code services; and
(b) AU$2,500 of spending money.

My answer is to see my cousin's baby, due early next year. I don't want to miss out on this cute little bundle and teach him some true aussie slang.

what would you do with $70million dollars?

Apparently, a lucky Gold Coast person has won themselves $70 million in Lotto.
http://www.mygc.com.au/article/news/local-newsroom/40068-winning-$70-million-oz-lotto-ticket-sold-on-the-gold-coast.php

I asked my friends this, and 10/10 Travel was one of the top 10 things they would do with the money. The possibilities are endless, you can even get to Space with that amount!  A truly out of this world experience.

Other things people said include giving money to charity, paying off mortgage, buying investment properties, starting a business. After dreaming, I've realised that I've saved at least $5000 by NOT buying lotto tickets.

But I am curious, What would you do if you won $70 million??

28 degrees credit card for travel- props!

Remember my post about not getting my deposit back from Tiffany Chang of Taroko Gorge? http://halftheadventure.blogspot.com.au/2013/11/bit-upset-about-deposit.html

Well after Paypal said they could do nothing about it, I went and asked my credit card company.

28 degrees ME had AMAZING customer service. They made feel really comfortable in the claims process and were very responsive to enquires on social media. I take it all the time to travel, and I'm so glad I was protected this time.

A welcomed Christmas present was the letter saying that they have reversed the charges including any applicable interest!

Other honourable mentions- no annual fees, and good exchange rates, shoppers protection on outstanding amounts.
