Gold Coast/ Brisbane Day trips: Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm - Trip report

Last weekend my best friend was visiting from interstate so we set off for a road trip to Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavendar Farm.

It's a beautiful little establishment built with expensive stone, rows and rows of lavender scrubs.

Mind sojourn- Antarctica

If I had $1 million dollars, I would use at least part of that to go travelling. Sure you can see man-made wonders and sights, but how can you beat pure nature? Inspired by a recent trip to Seaworld... This week's mind sojourn is Antarctica.

 

Taipei- Scoot $600 flights and accommodation- Trip planning

As you know, I've booked scoot tickets to Taipei, Taiwan in November. I haven't been to Taipei since I was a kid.
I ended up booking budget flights, accommodation for A$600 return from Gold Coast to Taipei with Scoot, staying 7 nights at Chair Man Hotel, near Taipei Main Station

Prior to arriving I needed to: book flights, buy travel insurance, book accommodation, draft itinerary for 7 day trip. 

Taroko Gorge - Tripplanning

As you know, I've booked tickets to Taipei, Taiwan in November. When I searched for the must see places in Taiwan, Taroko Gorge 太魯閣 ALWAYS comes up. So how can I miss it?

Attractions to see:

• Taroko Gorge Gateway
• Eternal Spring Shrine
• Swallow Caves
• Tunnel of Nine Turns
• Chi Hsing Beach

Skip the Line Eiffel Tower, Paris- Tripplanning

 
While browsing the internet, I stumbled upon "Skip the line: Eiffel Tower tickets" and other Paris attractions. The idea really appealed to me. I hate waiting in line. And in my recent trip to America, I wish I had paid a little extra to skip the cues. We are talking about 3 hour cues for a ride at Disneyland, 2 hours cues to get up to the Empire State Building. My brother and his girlfriend took a weekend soujourn to Paris in the heat of summer and told me it took them 3 hours to line up for the Eiffel tour.

I've been incredibly blessed by opportunity to travel with friends, family and as part of work. I've splashed about on the beaches of the Gold Coast, Australia, I've skied in Korea, biked over the Golden Gate Bridge, and met locals in Thailand.

I love researching. Some may call it day dreaming or obsessive planning, but I believe half the adventure starts even before you arrive at the destination. When you get there, the plans rarely turn out the way you expect, but it was fun preparing it anyway! It only gives you a better story to tell after you return home.
